Lionel learned at a young age the Navajo way of respecting the land, including an annual family thank you to Mother Earth. His family, who number in the hundreds in the immediate area wasn’t rich, but the wealth of the land became young Lionel’s investment in the future. Lionel’s first job at 7, was collecting money for the tours.
